while on our trip to arkansas recently….we stopped in eureka springs….it is a lovely town nestled in the hills and became popular for the eureka basin spring. today quaint shops occupy the streets of downtown eureka springs. it has become a draw to artisans and tourists alike. the narrow streets and upper and lower levels are lined with stone walls which were built in the late 1800s and early 1900s by stonemasons. they were constucted from limestone which was often quarried onsite or brought in by railroad…eureka springs also boasts of the “haunted” crescent hotel where tours are often given by arrangement to observe paranormal activity….
eureka springs is quite the interesting place ….
